GRAMMAR BOOK - New Edition 2009
In July the new edition of our grammar book was released. It contains 45 units with English translations for grammar at three learning levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced.

NEW COURSES AT IE INSTITUTE - Semi-Classroom and Web
Since 2009, IE Institute has increased the number of semi-classroom and web courses for people who do not have time to attend classroom courses and/or are located outside of town or country.
IE International in Spanish is continually researching news relating to teaching and learning Spanish in Ecuador. IE International is always looking to present new projects, activities, events and information to teachers and students of Spanish.
We welcome any news about Spanish teachers, Spanish schools, and Spanish students that we can provide our staff and students with.

FIRST ANNUAL MEETING FOR SPANISH TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
The first annual meeting for Spanish teachers and students took place on December 15, 2006 at Antinoo Restaurant in Quito. What a success!
A total of 80 people attended the two hour event. There was applause for the whisky drinks, as well as the Arabic dance show.
Teachers attended from schools in Quito and Otavalo: Apu
Inty, Latinoamericana, Cristóbal Colón, Simón Bolívar,
Beraca and many more.
IE International in Spanish has presented the idea of creating an international review of Spanish-based support and sponsorship systems for government entities, with: a national university representative, the Association of Spanish Schools in Ecuador, several organizations related to tourism, South American Explorers Club, and all teachers of Spanish in Ecuador.
IE International, along with the IE Institute, has been awarded certificates for having the most outstanding students in teacher traning courses in 2006.

SECOND ANNUAL MEETING FOR SPANISH TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
The second annual meeting for Spanish teachers and students was held on December 14, 2007. For the second consecutive year, we looked forward to seeing teachers and students from various Spanish school in Quito and other cities.
We appreciated seeing participants from other schools and organizations like Switzerland, Benedict, The Secret Garden, and others.
Those attending enjoyed folk music presented by Huinana Causay.
IE Institute presented news, statistics, and activities accomplished in 2007. An increase in Spanish teachers trained at IE, new staff, and the addition of new Spanish schools were among the information.
